The hotel is in the heart of Kelso’s picturesque French-styled cobbled square. The present hotel was built in 1769, but in other forms, a Cross Keys Hotel has occupied the site since the earliest days of Scottish Coaching Inns. Today, the hotel provides a comfortable and convenient base to explore all that Kelso and the Scottish Borders has to offer. As you might expect in a building with such historic roots, and unlike more impersonal larger chain hotels, our hotel bedrooms are different shapes and sizes which adds to their individual character.

Rooms vary in size and outlook but are decorated to the same standard. There is free Wi-Fi access in all our bedrooms and complimentary mineral water. Our Junior Suites are large spacious rooms, many of which are capable of sleeping a family of up to 2 adults and 2 children.
