The Cross Keys was the ideal choice for my group of 33 gardeners to spend two nights while visiting gardens in the area. Liz Dyet was extremely helpful throughout and all the staff exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
Rooms and surroundings were comfortable, general atmosphere relaxing and food good with all needs catered for.
Also perfectly situated for the shopaholic!

“High Tea Spectacular.
Our bus trip had high tea here and what a delicious choice it was.. The food was cooked to perfection and the helpings were huge. Breaded juicy Scampi or fish. Ploughman's ham salad, ham hand cut into thick juicy slices.
Or Steak and Ale pie. The freshest warm scones ever, and cakes in a lake of tea or coffee. Smiley, friendly staff who accommodated every whim. If you are planning a trip to Kelso or you are there for the day, make the Cross Keys your place to have a meal.”
“Central Location.
Cross Keys is in the very heart of Kelso, being the biggest building on the old town square. The staff are warm and welcoming, the food is delicious and good sized portions, and the hotel is very comfortable.”
“Loved this place.
Stayed for 2 nights and totally felt at home there. Friendly, helpful staff and what a treat to actually get a really good nights sleep in a hotel bed! Decent food and even 'ice cream' at reception!! It gets a big 'thumbs up' from us!!”
